About Dr. Eepsita Mishra
Dr Eepsita Mishra (MBBS, MD, DNB, Assoc. MNAMS) is a psychiatrist with a deep commitment to helping individuals achieve mental wellness and emotional resilience. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia and delusional disorder. She is also well versed in treatment of addiction disorders and sexual dysfunction.
Dr Mishra earned her MBBS degree from GSVM Medical College, Kanpur in 2018 and went on to earn her MD degree in psychiatry from the prestigious PGIMER, Chandigarh, where she received extensive training in psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and integrative approaches to mental health care. She is a double medallist – earning gold and bronze medals in 2018 and 2022 respectively as well as double post-graduate – earning her DNB Psychiatry degree in 2024.
Dr Mishra went on to work in PGIMER, Chandigarh from 2023-2025 and gained valuable experience in outpatient consultations, inpatient management, emergency psychiatry services, consultation-liaison psychiatry, electroconvulsive therapy, rTMS and tdCS, psychotherapy – behavioural therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy, supportive therapy, marital therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, evaluation of disability, child and adolescent psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry and de-addiction. In addition to being a frontline COVID warrior herself, she also provided extensive teleconsultations during and after the pandemic to patients in need. She is currently working as an independent private psychiatrist.
Dr Mishra is passionate about mental health advocacy and regularly engage in public education efforts to reduce stigma around psychiatric care, leading training programmes for primary health care providers in Haryana and workshop on mental wellness for defence personnel for which she was recognised by the Ministry of Defense. Her treatment philosophy emphasizes a patient-centred, evidence-based approach, combining medication management with supportive psychotherapy to tailor care to each individual’s unique needs. Her doctoral thesis work included working with patients with cancer and understanding assessment of depression in them.
