Cefaclor is a second generation cephalosporin antibiotic and is used to treat severe bacterial infections, including those resistant to earlier cephalosporins.It is used to treat bacterial infections such as respiratory tract infections, skin infections, and ear infections.It is active against both gram-negative and positive bacteria.
Common Indications of Cefaclor
● Respiratory tract infections (e.g., bronchitis, pneumonia)

● Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
● Otitis media (middle ear infection)
Dosage and Administration
● Adults: 250-500 mg orally every 8 hours.
● Children: 20 mg/kg/day in three divided doses per day
Cefaclor is available in oral tablets and suspension forms.
